Day 5 - 2/16/10

Have you heard about Wallwisher yet? Think of it as a digital bulletin board with sticky notes. This is an easy way to encourage some student collaboration. It also works well as an assessment tool. The teacher creates the topic and the students post their thoughts and ideas.

I used it to see what my students thought about the Lewis & Clark IMAX movie we watched the previous week. I really wanted to know what they liked about it. This was a very open-ended question that could easily be answered in a sentence or two. We used the computer in our classroom and the students took turns writing on the Wallwisher board.

Wallwisher can be used with a variety of topics and situations to gain a quick assessment or opinions.
