Nothing fancy today with regards to technology. However, since having a mounted LCD projector in the band room, I use it just about everyday. It is so handy and IT'S SAVING TREES. Why? I used to give out reminders about concerts, upcoming performances, playing tests, etc. on paper ALL THE TIME. I still do some reminders on paper from time to time, however, creating a simple Powerpoint slide with all the pertinent information is an effective substitute. I usually have it on as students are walking in the band room and putting their instruments together. I can show it as much as needed and no one loses the important paper that all this info is on because . . . . THERE IS NO PAPER!
